Before you light your Melto candle, snip the wick to 1/4 inch for that smooth, smoke-free burn.

For your candle's debut, let the wax melt across the entire surface — aim for at least 3 hours. You might notice some wax clinging to the sides; that's totally expected.

Once you've got the wax melted to the edges after the first burn, cap your burning sessions at 4 hours max. And when you're down to just 1/4 inch of wax in the container, it's time to say goodbye.

Make sure the wick stays in the middle.

After you're done burning, tweak the wick back to center while the wax is still all melty.

When you're down to a 1/4" to 1/2" of wax in your candle, that's your cue to stop using it and give the glass a new life.

Don't forget to clear out any leftover wax.
